Directions to Achterbergh Lodge and Conference Centre

Travel on the N14/R28 towards Krugersdorp and continue past the traffic light at the Hendrik Potgieter intersection, where the N14 splits off towards Ventersdorp and Rustenburg. Proceed over the mountain, passing the Silverstar Casino on your left.

Approximately 4.8 km further, take the Robert Broom Drive off-ramp to the left. Follow the off-ramp until it ends at a T-junction, then turn left towards Rustenburg (R24).

Continue for 1.1 km to the four-way stop and turn right into Clifford Road. Take the second street left into Edward Road and follow the road as it continues around a sharp bend to the right.

From Rustenburg / Ventersdorp / Magaliesburg

From the N14 (Pretoria/Johannesburg):
Travel on the N14 and turn right at the traffic light intersection with the R28. Continue over the mountain, passing Silverstar Casino on your left. Approximately 4.8 km further, take the Robert Broom Drive off-ramp to the left. Follow the off-ramp to the T-junction and turn left towards Rustenburg (R24). After 1.1 km, turn right at the four-way stop into Leeu Street, which becomes Clifford Road. Turn left into the second street, Edward Road, and follow the road as it continues around a sharp bend to the right. Achterbergh Lodge and Conference Centre is situated approximately 1 km further along the road.

From Rustenburg (R24):
Travel on the R24 towards Krugersdorp and turn left at the first traffic light into Robert Broom Drive. Continue to the third four-way stop and turn left into Clifford Road. Turn left into the second street, Edward Road, and follow the road as it continues around a sharp bend to the right. Achterbergh Lodge and Conference Centre is located approximately 1 km further along the road.

From the East Rand / OR Tambo Airport

From Witbank / eMalahleni (via N12 and N3):

Travel on the N12 towards Johannesburg and, at Gillooly’s Interchange, take the N3 South towards Heidelberg. At the Geldenhuys Interchange, follow the M2 West towards Johannesburg CBD. After approximately 11 km, take the M1 North and then the first off-ramp to Smit Street (M10) in Braamfontein.

Continue on the M10 through Brixton, where it becomes Main Road and later Ontdekkers Road. Follow Ontdekkers Road for approximately 20 km through Roodepoort and into Krugersdorp, where it becomes Voortrekker Road.

At the traffic light intersection with the R28 (Paardekraal Road), turn right onto the R28 and take the Robert Broom Drive off-ramp to the left. At the T-junction, turn left towards Rustenburg (R24).

Proceed approximately 700 metres to the first four-way stop and turn right into Leeu Street, which becomes Clifford Road. Turn left into the second street, Edward Road, and follow the road as it continues around a sharp bend to the right. Achterbergh Lodge and Conference Centre is located approximately 1 km further along the road.

Alternative Route from Maraisburg / Florida (N1):

After crossing the N1 flyover, turn right into Hendrik Potgieter Road and continue towards Krugersdorp. Follow Hendrik Potgieter Road until it joins the R28 and then follow the directions provided under “From the N14 (Pretoria/Johannesburg)” route.

From Heidelberg N3

From OR Tambo International Airport

Exit the airport and continue on the N3, passing through the Rand Airport Interchange. At the Elands Interchange in Germiston, take the N12 towards Roodepoort and travel on the Southern Bypass.

After approximately 15 km, take the N1 North towards Pretoria/Roodepoort at the Diepkloof Interchange. Continue on the N1 and take the third off-ramp (after the Maraisburg and Gordon Road exits) to Fourteenth Avenue (Fairland/Quellerina).

Turn left at the traffic light at the end of the off-ramp and, approximately 80 metres further, turn right at the next traffic light into Hendrik Potgieter Road (M47). Follow Hendrik Potgieter Road for approximately 20 km until you reach the intersection with the R28/N14 (Pretoria–Krugersdorp).

Turn left onto the R28 and continue over the mountain, passing Silverstar Casino on your left. Approximately 4.8 km further, take the Robert Broom Drive off-ramp to the left. Follow the off-ramp to the T-junction and turn left towards Rustenburg (R24).

From Vanderbijl Park / Bloemfontein N1

From the N1 North (Pretoria Direction)

After passing the Maraisburg and Gordon Road off-ramps, take the Fourteenth Avenue off-ramp. Turn left at the traffic light at the end of the off-ramp and, approximately 80 metres further, turn right at the next traffic light into Hendrik Potgieter Road (M47).

Continue on Hendrik Potgieter Road for approximately 20 km until you reach the intersection with the R28/N14 (Pretoria–Krugersdorp). Turn left onto the R28 and continue over the mountain, passing Silverstar Casino on your left.

Alternate route along Wilgerood Avenue through Roodepoort

From Clearwater Mall / Roodepoort

At Clearwater Mall on Hendrik Potgieter Road, turn left onto Christiaan de Wet Road (R564). Continue through the Kloof area and turn right into Wilgerood Road. Follow this road through Roodepoort, where it eventually becomes Robert Broom Drive in Krugersdorp.

Continue past the Sasol service station on your left and proceed beyond the R28 intersection. After passing Plant Park, turn right at the four-way stop into Leeu Street, which becomes Clifford Road.

Turn left into the second street, Edward Road, and follow the road as it continues around a sharp bend to the right.
